If you’ve been thinking about getting a custom piece from me, here’s the process. It’s pretty simple, but I’ve found it helps to lay it out so everyone knows what to expect. First of all, know that you'll be getting a mixed media piece on canvas- that's collage and acrylic paint. The rest is up to you!

First — the idea
You reach out and tell me what you’re thinking. This can be super loose or really specific. Animal, vibe, mood, weird detail you want included — I want to hear all of it. Even if you’re not totally sure yet, that’s fine. We’ll figure it out!
Then — I send you a quote
Once I know what you’re looking for, I’ll send over pricing and a rough timeline. If it works for you, we move forward. If not, no pressure. This pdf can also give you a pretty good price estimate.
Next — the details
After that, you’ll send me everything you want me to work from:
- Size
- Reference photos (3 per animal)
- Colors you like
- Specific elements you want included
- Anything you definitely don’t want
The more helpful your references are, the better the final piece will be.
Then — I start working
This is the part where I disappear for a bit and actually make the piece. It takes some time — I’m layering, adjusting, figuring things out as I go.
Partway through — I check in
Before it’s finished, I’ll send you an in-progress image. It won’t be done yet, but you’ll be able to see where it’s going.
This is your chance to give feedback. Small changes, tweaks, thoughts — this is when they happen.
Finally — I finish it
Once I’ve got your feedback, I’ll complete the piece and get it ready for you. That’s the final version.
A couple quick notes:
- I work in my style — the subject matter is up to you
- Clear references = better results
- The in-progress check is for adjustments, not a full redo
- If you want stickers or other merch of your new illustration, let me know!
If that all sounds good, send me your idea and we’ll get started. Email me! pergamopapergoods@gmail.com
